Offshore Antigua and Barbuda, likely will have to agree on less than $ 3.4 billion, the amount of compensation that they require of the US, after the WTO authorized the argument in favor of Antigua on gambling on the Internet.
U.S. lost the dispute with Antigua, where the WTO has decided that foreign competition does not prohibit the rates to run the Internet and at the same rate among the states to settle in the country. Immediately after the failure of last appeal, the US Trade Representative office announced that the inclusion of Internet gambling commitments in the General Agreement on Sale of Services (GATS) was a mistake, and that these commitments will be deleted.
