British Tax Service announced that the Financial Act of 2007, received Royal Assent on 19 July, will facilitate the initiation of cases of alleged use of tax evasion schemes.

Changes to the instructions on tax evasion schemes in 2007 were presented to the House of Commons on 24 July and will come into force on 1 September 2007. The document commits the so-called promoters of schemes tax evasion, on request of tax authorities to provide full information about these schemes and individuals who use them.
