Hong Kong: The company became a 19% increase. During the first half of 2007 in Hong Kong has 47'417 new companies, 19.12% higher than the same period last year. This is mainly offshore companies that register residents of Hong Kong in order to minimize taxes. Companies Registry statistics show that in the first half of 2007, 316 new foreign companies have chosen a place of business of Hong Kong and registered under Part XI of the Companies Act. This is 12.46% higher than the same period last year.
