Provision of emergency powers to CFU suspension of the activities of individuals in the sector, which has oversight;
Application of the regime «principal officers» to the «key person», as the staff will check that the requirements of customers, and are responsible for combating money laundering;
Public disclosure of licensing terms and FSC registered persons;
Public disclosure of CFU personalities central leadership and the investment staff of controlled investment companies;
Changing the eligibility criteria for companies and individuals;
Additional provisions for appeals against administrative decisions;
Changes in the statutes that allow FSC to provide confidential information to third parties, and
Changes to ensure that the powers of all four CFU regulatory laws.
Several elements of the legislative process to introduce the proposed changes to the regulatory laws are outside the mandate of the Commission. These include the need to address the Ministers, the debate in Parliament and approval of changes in the Privy Council. Nevertheless, in order to demonstrate the practical timely introduction of the amended regulatory system for the visit of the IMF, the FSC must complete and submit the changes, Minister of Economic Development until mid-September 2007.
